Photographer's Notes - String Cheese Incident:
This was my second time at what is fast becoming a Christmas time tradition
in Boulder, an incredibly intimate Incident, indeed! The Boulder Theater
is such a classic venue and always seems to be filled with good friends.
With another Boulder institution, The Mountain Sun providing the Kind
Ales all night, you can't have a bad time.
I immediately ran into a buddy of mine named Alex (see my photo of fans
on stage with Robert Randolph in the Austin City Limits Festival Archive-that's
him) outside on a particularly cold night and he was kind of enough to
lead me up to the very front and a little to the right side. Even though
the staff opened the door an hour after the posted time, we were eager
for a wonderful evening.
It didn't take long before we were treated to the sax sounds of Josh Redman
who came out for the final four songs of the set. I'm not that familiar
with SCI's complete repertoire, but I know what I like.
